Massage Therapy

Introducing Laurie Harnden, BA, RMT.
Laurie is a registered massage therapist with years of experience, providing a tranquil setting where clients can regain their balance and health. Laurie brings a wealth of life experience to her massage practice as a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapist’s Association of Ontario (CMTO) and Registered Massage Therapist’s Association of Ontario (RMTAO).

Laurie works with teens, new mothers, sports enthusiasts, professionals, men, women and seniors, who value the benefits of therapeutic massage and make it an essential part of their health maintenance ritual.

Registered massage therapy benefits people of all ages with conditions such as muscle tension, pain, headaches, stress, anxiety, depression, strains and sprains, and so much more.

At Lancaster Massage Therapy, we provide massage services such as relaxation, deep tissue, hot stone, thermal palms, bamboo fusion, and pregnancy massage.

What is Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.

It is especially helpful for chronic pain and contracted areas such as: your neck and lower back, postural problems, limited mobility, repetitive strain injury such as carpal tunnel, sciatica, piriformis syndrome and fibromyalgia.

Some of the techniques are similar to Swedish Massage but the movement is slower and pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Introducing Ear Candling
This year, Laurie is introducing a new gentle relaxing treatment that eliminates excess ear wax—Ear Candling. A safe and simple procedure.

Benefits are: removes excess ear wax, relieves pressure inside the ear and helps fight infections. Some people find it improves hearing, balance and eliminates itching in the ear.
